Charis – Junior Paralegal & Marketing Assistant

Charis joined Johnson May Solicitors in May 2026 as a Junior Paralegal and Marketing Assistant. She supports our solicitors and wider team across a range of matters, including landlord and tenant disputes, property disputes, debt recovery and civil litigation.

As part of her developing paralegal role, Charis assists the team with a variety of day-to-day legal and administrative tasks, including preparing documents and case files, undertaking legal research and providing general support as matters progress. The varied nature of her role is giving her the opportunity to build her practical legal knowledge and develop her experience across different areas of civil law.

Alongside her legal work, Charis makes an important contribution to the firm's marketing and business development activities. She has a particular interest in digital marketing and assists with website content, legal blogs, client success stories, social media and other initiatives aimed at keeping clients informed and strengthening the firm's online presence.

Charis brings enthusiasm and creativity to her role and enjoys working with colleagues across the firm. She is keen to continue developing her practical legal skills while using her strengths in marketing and communication to support the firm's continued growth.

Charis graduated from the University of Kent in 2025 with a Bachelor's degree in Law, providing her with a good academic foundation in legal principles. Before joining Johnson May Solicitors, she gained experience in legal administration and customer service, which helped develop her communication skills and understanding of working with clients.

She has a particular interest in landlord and tenant law, having gained some experience in this area through her work at a pro bono law clinic. She is continuing to broaden her legal knowledge and practical experience as she develops within her role at Johnson May Solicitors.

Charis is keen to progress her legal career and intends to undertake the SQE in the future. She is particularly motivated by the opportunity to help people and to continue learning from the solicitors and colleagues around her.

Outside of work, Charis enjoys travelling, music and football and values opportunities to continue learning and developing both personally and professionally.
