Tenant evictions

April 15, 2021

There is still a ban in place preventing bailiffs from attending and evicting tenants.  This ban remains in place until 31 May 2021 in England and until 30 June 2021 in Wales but if the court is satisfied that such action is necessary because for example there are substantial rent arrears it will allow the eviction.  So if you are a landlord and your tenant has accrued substantial rent arrears, although the situation is far from ideal, you can still serve your tenant with a relevant notice to quit and thereafter seek assistance from the court to get back your property and the arrears.  We know and understand the difficulties landlords face and have created a simple fixed fee scheme to help our landlords.  If you would like to learn more, you can call us on 020 8150 7173 or you can email us at [email protected] and we’ll call you.
